Die Maschine ist manuell einstellbar und erlaubt es somit, exakt nur dort Material wegzuschleifen, wo es notwendig ist. Die Form wird auf einem Magnethalter mit V-Bl\u00f6cken positioniert und kann in 2 Richtungen eingerichtet werden, um sicherzustellen, dass die Teilungsoberfl\u00e4che vollkommen parallel mit dem Tisch der Maschine ist: Die Form kann in den V-Bl\u00f6cken axial mit einer Lehre eingestellt werden und die Form und der Halter k\u00f6nnen zusammen in L\u00e4ngsrichtung mit einem Komparator ausgerichtet werden.\u00a0Der Hohlschliff wird durch eine Vorlage im Ma\u00dfstab 10:1 (Tiefe) und 1:1 (L\u00e4nge) erlangt.
